HILL: LANDMINES ARE A PROBLEM THAT WILL NOT DISAPPEAR OVERNIGHT
VAREŠ, July 21 (FENA) – Almost 20 years after the war, Bosnia and Herzegovina is still contaminated with landmines. One of the most endangered municipalities when it comes to landmines is the municipality of Vareš in Zenica-Doboj canton which was visited today by Charge d'Affaires of the Embassy of the United States Nicholas Hill and representatives of BH MAC.

EXTRAORDINARY SESSION OF HOUSE OF PEOPLES CONCLUDES, TWO BILLS ADOPTED
SARAJEVO, July 18 (FENA) - Bill on the law of directing and distributing partial revenue generated by the operational activities of thermal power plants was adopted today after a lengthy parliamentary discussion at the extraordinary session of the House of Peoples of the Federation BiH Parliament. This was earlier supported by the House of Representatives of the FBiH Parliament.

AMENDMENTS TO THE CRIMINAL CODE INTRODUCE PRISON SENTENCE OF THREE MONTHS UP TO THREE YEARS FOR DENIAL OF GENOCIDE
SARAJEVO, July 18 (FENA) – A prison sentence for denial of the genocide in Srebrenica and all final verdicts for war crimes in Bosnia and Herzegovina will be introduced eight days upon the publication in the Official Gazette of the Law on Amendments to the Criminal Code of the Federation of BiH, which was adopted today by the House of Peoples of the FBiH Parliament at today's session in Sarajevo.

FBIH PA HOUSE OF PEOPLES ADOPTS LAW ON INTERNAL AFFAIRS
SARAJEVO, July 18 (FENA) – Having completed a special session of the House of Peoples of the FBiH parliament in Sarajevo, 23rd session of the House continued at which the deputies adopted the Law on Internal Affairs of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina for which the Interior Minister Predrag Kurteš said it meets the very demanding international standards and guarantees full and financial independence of the FBiH Police Administration, without the influence of politics.

SARAJEVO, July 18 (FENA) – Presenting today in Sarajevo the results of the Donors' Conference held on 16 July in Brussels, Deputy Head of the Delegation of the European Union (EU) in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Renzo Daviddi presented the estimate that, out of 809 million euros collected at the conference, 40 percent refers to grants (nonreturnable funds), and 60 percent of funds refers to affordable loans.
