BiH Council of Ministers finalized 79 percent of the Reform Agenda

SARAJEVO, February 12 (FENA) - Implementation of the Reform Agenda for BiH at the level of the Council of Ministers is at the final stage.

Of the 34 planned measures, 27 measures or 79 percent have been fully implemented or the implementation is continuously monitored, while most of the remaining activities will be completed within the next few months, FENA learns from the Council of Ministers of BiH.

The BiH CoM added that it is necessary to highlight the measures related to the control of new employment and the limitation of public sector salaries at the state level, strategic control and sustainability of public debt and borrowing, the law and by-laws on customs policy, mapping and resolution of para-fiscal levies, strengthening the integrity of the judicial system at the level of BiH, strengthening regional and international police cooperation, strategic approach in the fight against terrorism and money laundering, strengthening cooperation between tax administrations, improving economic assistance, and other.

Out of the remaining measures of the BiH Council of Ministers, the focus will be on the adoption of the law on deposit insurance, the finalization of e-service for VAT and the Public Administration Reform Strategy, in order to complete these activities in the first half of 2018 and to finalize the Reform Agenda,” stated the Council of Ministers of BiH.
