SARAJEVO, February 15 (FENA) - The Government of the Federation of BiH adopted at today’s emergency session the information on technical finalization of the responses to the European Commission Questionnaire and gave its approval to the "Bosnia and Herzegovina's Responses on the European Commission Questionnaire for the Preparation of the Opinion on BiH's Application for European Union Membership".
The FBiH Government Office for European Integration will forward these conclusions to the FBiH bodies and institutions in order to inform them, as well as to the Committee on European Integration of the House of Representatives and the House of Peoples of the FBiH Parliament. The conclusion will be submitted to the Directorate for European Integration of BiH for further action.
Working groups actively worked on the technical finalization of the response. The chairmen of the working groups, with the consent of both of their deputies, were submitting the agreed responses in material and electronic form to the Committee on European Integration (CEI), which would then forward them to the coordinators of the European integration process in Bosnia and Herzegovina for confirmation.
In preparing the BiH’s responses to questions from the European Commission Questionnaire, 1,083 civil servants from all levels of government in BiH worked in 35 working groups. In addition, 15 CEI members and 20 members of the Collegium on European Integration were also involved in the work.
A total of 20,037 pages of responses were prepared (12,082 pages of responses and 7,955 pages of supplements). Also, 1,151 acts (laws, by-laws, etc.), which are referred to in the answers, were submitted.
BiH's responses to all questions, as well as accompanying supplements and acts for all chapters in languages in official use in BiH, have been agreed upon within the coordination system.
