MOSTAR,Feb 15 (FENA) - Director of the Geodetic and Property Legal Affairs Administration of the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton (HNC) Ivan Lesko said on Thursday in Mostar that 96 % of cadastral data in the HNC had been digitized, which was the best result in the FBiH.
Before the seminar entitled "Land Administration Projects in HNC, Experience, Benefits and Future Activities", which is held within the CILAP project (Capacity Building for Improved Land Administration and Procedures in BiH), Lesko said that the results achieved in the sector over the last 15 years would be presented at the seminar, while the directions and activities planned to be implemented in the forthcoming period would be defined.
He pointed out that significant results had been achieved within the implementation of the CILAP project.
Besides the work on digitization of cadastral data, we have worked on bringing in line cadastre and land registers. This part of the job was done within a real estate registration project for 16 cadastral municipalities in the HNC area, said Lesko, pointing out that the Administration also works on the establishment of the Address Registry, adding that data for the registry have been collected in cooperation with local self-government units.
He pointed out that everything was done in digital form, which significantly improved working conditions.
Speaking about the benefits of the CILAP project, the Director of the Federal Administration for Geodetic and Property Legal Affairs, Zeljko Obradovic, said that the basic objective of the project was to help citizens and institutions operating within the mentioned system.
- Through the CILAP project supported by the Government of the Kingdom of Sweden, we have established a good cooperation with all the state and municipal institutions, and through this cooperation we directly implement the project. One of the project activities is the harmonization of land registers and cadastre in the HNCarea, where almost all municipalities are covered - Obradovic said.
According to his words, so far about US $ 17 million have been spent on the real estate registration process in BiH. The project should be completed by January 31, 2020, and it covers 60 municipalities in FBiH.
- I regret over the fact that the city of Mostar was not directly involved in this project, through which we solve the issues of the inhabited places around Mostar. We hope that through its extension and after the elections in Mostar, we will start solving the issue in the city itself - said Obradovic, pointing out that through the CILAP project over 420, 000 owners and co-owners have registered their real estate in the FBiH at the expense of the World Bank's credit funds.
- Approximately 47 % of the land registry records have been aligned with cadastral data so that not only citizens but also investors can easily access data that are important to them to invest - said the Director of the Federal Administration for Geodetic and Property Legal Affairs.
The CILAP project is a long-term project aimed at capacity building and knowledge transfering, all with the aim to increase the efficiency and reliability of the land administration process in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH). The CILAP project has been planned, drafted and approved with the aim to support the Geodetic Administration in BiH during the whole period of implementation of the Real Property Registration Project (RERP) 2013-2019, which is financed from the World Bank loan.
