MOSTAR/ SARAJEVO, Feb 16 (FENA) – The Croatian Party of BiH (HS BiH) will forward to the potential partners their programs as a kind of proposal for the gathering and conclusion of sincere election alliances, says the statement issued by the Party.
"This document, which is subject to discussion and incorporating of good suggestions and proposals , contains views on the most important constitutional and political issues and problems in the state of BiH," says the statement.
The statement points out that the Croatian Party of Bosnia and Herzegovina in its program bases starts from the basic principle that BiH is the homeland of Croats and unconditionally respects the Dayton Constitution.
"However, people in the Croatia Party recognize that both political actors and the public as a whole generally agree with the view that the Dayton Agreement is imprecise and passé , and as such, it represents in many segments a brake on progress and integration of society in our country, but also thwarts rapid BiH’s progress toward EU and NATO. Having this in mind, the Croatian Party is committed to amending certain constitutional arrangements as well as to establishing a decentralized, if possible cantonized whole country of Bosnia and Herzegovina, " the statement points out.
Furthermore, the Croatian Party of BiH is committed to correcting cantonal constitutions and incorporating provisions that would guarantee minimal quota for the representation of constituent peoples and members of the so-called " others" at cantonal assemblies.
"This would then create the preconditions for fair election of the delegates to the Federal House of Peoples in accordance with the Decision of the Constitutional Court of BiH, and on the principle that each constituent people can elect its delegates to the House of Peoples of the FBiH Parliament," the HS states.
The statement goes on to say that the Croatian Party of Bosnia and Herzegovina is also committed to compromise on amending the Law on the Government of FBiH, as well as to introducing a model of voting and decision-making similar to that of the Council of Ministers of BiH.
People in the Croatian Party of BiH are convinced that the offered program bases for a possible pre-election partnership are correct and will certainly prompt positive reactions of political parties and create prerequisites for possible coalitions.
