FENA Kadira Šakić

SREBRENICA, February 22 (FENA) - Department for marriage, family and female activism of Majlis of IC Srebrenica organized a public discussion on the occasion of the International Mother Language Day, where a lecturer Meliha Herić, professor of Bosnian language in branch "First Elementary School" in Potočari, spoke about history of Bosnian language.

Herić pointed to dispute over Bosnian language in Austro-Hungarian period and how Bosnian language began being studied again.

"Unfortunately, Bosnian language is being denied again. Language of Bosniak people is being studied in one part of BiH and Bosnian language in the other one. I truly hope that problem will be solved, that we will soon continue to study Bosnian language," concluded Herić.
