SARAJEVO, February 26 (FENA) - Member of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH PA) delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the South-East European Cooperation Process (SEECP PA), Hanka Vajzović, participated in the meeting of the SEECP PA Social Development, Education, Research and Science General Committee, which was held in Podgorica.
The participants of the meeting, hosted by the Parliament of Montenegro, which brought together parliamentarians from ten SEECP member countries, discussed the topic "Education in the Region of South East Europe: The Current Situation and Perspectives".
The participants of the meeting reflected in their presentations on the state of education in SEECP Member States, presented good practices and pointed out the problems they face in terms of policy implementation in this area.
They stressed the importance of improving the education system in the SEECP countries, as well as the necessity of constantly adjusting this system to the needs of the society and the labor market.
The members of the SEECP PA Social Development, Education, Research and Science General Committee adopted in Podgorica the Report and the Resolution on the Status and Perspectives of Education in South East Europe.
Both documents will be discussed and confirmed at the session of the SEECP PA, which will be held in Ljubljana on 13-14 April, in the framework of the Slovenian Chairmanship of this regional initiative, the BiH PA Public Relations Department stated.
