MOSTAR, Feb 26 (FENA) - The 14th anniversary of the tragic death of Macedonian President Boris Trajkovski was marked on Monday, who, together with his associates and crew members, was killed in a plane crash near Mostar when traveling to attend International Investment Conference in the City.
Those who laid wreaths at the memorial were representatives of the President and Government of the Republic of Macedonia, the Council of Ministers of BiH, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of BiH, the BiH Ministry of Defense, representatives of the City of Mostar, the EUFOR, and representatives of the Macedonian associations in BiH,
On behalf of the Government of the Republic of Macedonia a wreath was laid by the Minister of Regulatory Affairs and Improvement of Investment Climate, Zoran Sapuric.
- Today, there is an opportunity to remember the character and work of Boris Trajkovski, who advocated Euro-Atlantic integration of the Republic of Macedonia, as well as cooperation at the regional level, said Minister Sapuric.
On the occasion, Main Advisor to Mostar Mayor, Radmila Komadina, said that today, as every year, through marking that tragedy, a spiritual and friendship bridge was being built that would permanently remind all us of Boris Trajkovski.
Mrs Komadina pointed out that he was a man who had promoted friendship, regional co-operation and Euro-Atlantic integration, and the man who believed in a better tomorrow.
- Throughout his political life, Boris Trajkovski built bridges of cooperation that linked peoples in our region as well as beyond- Mrs Komadina pointed out.
To remind, 9 people died in the crash on February 26, 2004, including Trajkovski, his team and the flight crew.
