SARAJEVO, February 28 (FENA) - Chairman of the BiH Council of Ministers Denis Zvizdić congratulated citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina March 1 - Independence Day.
“Twenty-six years ago, we expressed our will for freedom and equality, the ideals that have not left the hearts of Bosnians and Herzegovinians through the turbulent history of our homeland. On March 1, 1992, we decided to build an independent state of free and equal citizens and in the most difficult moments of our homeland’s history, we showed the courage and determination to persevere on this path.
Today, by submitting the responses to the EC Questionnaire, we have completed one of the most complex processes on the European path of our country. We have made a move toward soon acquiring a candidate status and we have shown to our European friends that we have the credibility, the will and the knowledge to become part of a democratic Europe.
I urge you today that we show the same will, resolve and patriotism, not to look at what others are doing, but to give others an example with our work and dedication, to overcome the remaining obstacles on the European path and ensure stability, security and better life for the future generations in our common homeland of Bosnia and Herzegovina,” reads the congratulatory note of BiH Council of Ministers Chairman Denis Zvizdić, the Council stated.
