BANJA LUKA, March 2 (FENA) - The Indirect Taxation Authority (ITA) of Bosnia and Herzegovina was visited today in Banja Luka by the Secretary General of the World Customs Organization (WCO) Kunio Mikuriya, and concrete activities were agreed upon in the form of expert assistance to the Customs Service of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

BiH ITA Director Miro Džakula informed Mr. Mikuriya about the challenges and problems facing the ITA Customs Service, especially when it comes to checking the value of invoices for goods coming to BiH from other countries, ITA said.

They agreed that a number of people would be delegated from the ITA, who would be trained and would receive the lecturer status within the framework of the World Customs Organization, in order to transfer their knowledge to all other employees in the ITA.

The WCO Secretary General was also informed about the organizational structure of the ITA and its achievements in the past year when ITA collected a record seven billion and 44 million KM of revenues from VAT, excise, customs and travel.
