TUZLA, March 4 (FENA) - Eight persons have been arrested and taken to the Tuzla Canton Police during the operation of the Support Unit for in the unblocking of the Šićki Brod intersection ship, spokesperson of the TC Police Administration Izudin Šarić told ENA.
“The Support Unit of the MoI of the Tuzla Canton, with the assistance of the FBiH Special Police Force Unit, on Saturday conducted a coordinated operation of unblocking the main roads M-1.8, M-18 and M-4 on at the Šićki Brod intersection which was under blockade since 28 February, and has enabled free flow of traffic on the main road Orašje - Tuzla - Sarajevo.
During the operation mentioned above, the minimum force was used by the police only on the persons who were under influence of alcohol and who resisted police officers. Two persons required medical assistance and were transported to UKC Tuzla,” said Šarić.
According to the TC Police Administration spokesperson, during the operation of unblocking the roads, eight persons have been arrested and will be processed.
“The persons will be processed under the law. Two people aged between 19 and 21 were also arrested, meaning they could not have been the veterans. During these activities, the police established the presence of a greater number of young people, as well as persons who do not reside on the territory of the Tuzla Canton,” said Šarić.
