SARAJEVO, March 4 (FENA) - Bosnia and Herzegovina must not allow itself another deadlock. Positive integration forces must be the strongest. The new EU strategy, which contains a credible perspective of enlargement and strengthened EU engagement in the Western Balkans, is a chance for such a turn in momentum, said the BiH Presidency member and President of the Party of Democratic Action Bakir Izetbegović, in his address at a session of the Association of Independent Intellectuals "Circle 99".
Talking about the support that the European reform and integration process can provide to the sovereignty and the stability of BiH, the topic of Izetbegović's address was "The EU Integration Processes – Strengthening the Sovereignty of Democratic BiH".
Izetbegović recalled that the 26th anniversary of independence of BiH was celebrated a few days ago, and this celebration was additionally supported by a visit of the European Commission delegation headed by President Jean Claude Juncker, who came to Sarajevo to take over the completed EU Questionnaire.
- Bosnia and Herzegovina must not allow itself another stalemate. The lack of internal cohesion, unity and vision, willingness and courage, maturity and selflessness of domestic actors can be reestablished with the strong engagement of the international community. This European Union path can result in a definitive positive outcome when it comes to the stability and perspective of the BiH state and society,” said Izetbegović.
