Austrian Embassy supports cultural exchange with BiH

SARAJEVO, March 19 (FENA) - The Austrian Embassy in Sarajevo, after abundant cultural program in the past years, in 2018 continues with its support to cultural exchange between Austria and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

As part of this year's program of cultural events, the Embassy will present various content of Austrian art - music, architecture, dance, film and other, to the audience throughout BiH.

The Embassy announces three events at this year's Zenica Spring Festival, organized in cooperation with the Museum of the City of Zenica.

On Wednesday, 21 March, the exhibition "Homeland of Great Daughters - Renowned Austrian Women throughout Two Centuries" will be opened, which will cover the biographies of important Austrian women who contributed to science, literature, education and many other spheres of public life in Austria.

After the opening of the exhibition, a concert of the Austrian jazz quartet "Herbert Grubmair Band" will be held.

The quartet, comprised of Herbert Grubmair (saxophone), Helmar Hill (piano), Herbert Gruber (bass) and Michael Leibetseder (drums), combines elements of classical jazz, blues, funk, swing and Latin American rhythms in their music and has performed at numerous festivals in Austria and abroad.
