Maximum water levels in Sava River Basin expected in the next two days

SARAJEVO, March 20 (FENA) - The Sava River Watershed Agency in Sarajevo continues to perform increased monitoring of water levels on all watercourses in the Sava River Basin in the Federation of BiH.

Water levels trend are decreasing on all the watercourses in the Sava River Basin area. On the Sava River, there is currently a stagnation and slight increase of water level of only 0.5 centimeters per hour.

Due to the current water levels at the gauging stations Slavonski Brod and Slavonski Šamac, in the flood zone of Odžak in Posavina, emergency flood protection measures are in force, while regular flood protection measures are being implemented in Central Posavina.

Maximum water levels on the Sava River are expected in the next two days.
