Regoje appointed as a member of the Internet Governance Forum

SARAJEVO, March 21 (FENA) - Head of the Public Affairs Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina Nebojša Regoje has been appointed as a member of the Consultative Group of Representatives of the interested sectors for the  Internet Governance Forum, stated the MFA BiH.

Regoje was appointed by the decision of the Secretary General of the United Nations, Antonio Guteres, and has taken his duty during the World Summit on the Information Society held at the headquarters of the International Telecommunication Union in Geneva from 19 to 23 March.

The mandate of a member of MAG lasts one year, with the possibility of extension to additional two one-year mandates.

The Multi-stakeholder Advisory Group (MAG) advises the UN Secretary General on Internet governance issues and proposes measures and activities for the IGF.

The Internet Governance Forum (IGF) is the World Forum of the UN for Dialogue on Internet Governance policies, which involves representatives of all relevant sectors of society, the government sector, the private sector and non-governmental organizations, including the technical and academic community, stated the Public Relations Office of the MFA of BiH.
