Wigemark hosts debate in Kakanj on the local communities' role in EU integration

SARAJEVO, March 21 (FENA) - Head of the EU Delegation to BiH and EU Special Representative, Ambassador Lars-Gunnar Wigemark will host the debate “EU visiting local communities”, which will take place on Thursday at the Cultural and Sports Center in Kakanj.

This is the sixth debate hosted by Wigemark on the role of local communities in the process of EU accession, which is being held within the project "Local Communities take over the EU initiative", launched by the Office of the European Union Special Representative to BiH (EUSR).

Ambassador of the Kingdom of Sweden to BiH, Anders Hagelberg, will speak at the debate, as well as numerous local, regional and international experts involved in the project.

The participants will discuss the role of local communities and the challenges and opportunities offered by the EU accession process, announced the organizers.

Also, this will be an opportunity for participants to attend an informative and educational hosted by representatives of the project financed by the EU and other donors, which contribute to the economic and sustainable development of local communities.
