Positive trends in foreign trade exchange - Exports increased by 17.7 percent

SARAJEVO, March 21 (FENA) - Bosnia and Herzegovina this year has continued with positive trends continued in the scope of foreign trade exchange.

In the first two months of 2018, according to the BiH Statistics Agency, exports amounted to 1 billion and 817 million KM, which is 17.7 percent more than in the same period last year, while imports amounted to 2 billion and 673 million, which is an increase of 10,9 percent.

The import-export ratio has risen to a record high of 68 percent.

Exports to CEFTA countries amounted to 270 million KM and grew by 27.3 percent compared to the first two months of 2018, while imports amounted to 306 million KM, which is an increase of 6.7 percent.

In terms of the exchange with the CEFTA countries, the import-export ratio was 88.1 percent.

Exports to the EU countries amounted to KM 1 361 million, which is an increase of 18.4 percent, while imports increased by 11 percent, amounting to one billion and 633 million KM.

Import-export ratio with the EU countries reached 83.3 percent.
