SARAJEVO, March 26 (FENA) - The US Ambassador to Bosnia and Herzegovina Maureen Cormack will tomorrow in Sarajevo, together with the FBiH Finance Minister Jelka Milićević, promote the budget management system known as "e-budget".
The "e-budget" system will allow all the cantons in FBiH to prepare their budgets within the most up-to-date platform, and all the cantons will be linked online with the budget planning process of the FBiH Ministry of Finance, which greatly facilitates, accelerates and standardizes the processes of cantonal budget drafting.
The launch of the "e-budget" system marks the completion of a significant technical assistance provided by USAID's Fiscal Sector Reform Project (FAR) and the Project of Strengthening State Institutions and Processes (SGIP).
USAID FAR has provided software, hardware and training for all 10 cantonal finance ministries and the Ministry of Finance of FBiH, and the SGIP financial impact assessment module of the USAID project will enable real-time data entry, which will also be available to the public.
The event, which will take place at Holiday Hotel in Sarajevo, will also be attended by cantonal prime ministers and finance ministers who will sign the ownership transfer documents with the US Ambassador Cormack, the USAID announced.
