Ambassador of France visits Directorate for Coordination of Police Bodies of BiH

SARAJEVO, March 26 (FENA) - Newly-appointed Ambassador of France to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Guillaume Rousson, visited today the Directorate for Coordination of Police Bodies of BiH and met with Director of the Directorate Mirsad Vilić.

Vilić informed the Ambassador about the competencies of the Directorate and its role in the security system of Bosnia and Herzegovina, stated the Directorate for Coordination of Police Bodies of BiH.

He thanked the Ambassador for organizing trainings for police officers of the Directorate in the field of public order, conducted by instructors of the Gendarmerie of the Republic of France.

Vilić also highlighted the aspects of international police cooperation that is under the authority of the Directorate, and takes place via EUROPOL and INTERPOL.

Rousson said he has been informed about the cooperation that the Embassy of France in BiH has had with the Directorate in the previous period.

He thanked for the professional attitude of the officers of the Directorate in the course of the cooperation so far.

He also stressed the importance of enhancing cooperation in order to preserve the security, rule of law and development of democracy in the BiH society.
