BIHAĆ, March 27 (FENA) - Ambassador of People's Republic of China to BiH Chen Bo visited today the Bihać City Administration and Mayor Šuhret Fazlić as part of her visit to the Una-Sana Canton (USC).
In a conversation with Mayor Fazlić, Chairman of the Bihać City Council Davor Župa and his associates, Ambassador Bo was informed about the economic and political situation in Bihać with a special emphasis on the possibilities of Bihać's cooperation with the cities in the People's Republic of China.
“I gave to the Ambassador the Letter of Intent of the City of Bihać, through which we wish to establish friendly relations with the cities in China. We have a large number of friend cities in the world and through cooperation with the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in our country, we want to bring this part of our homeland closer to China through economic, cultural and any other cooperation that will strengthen the links between Bihać and the cities of China,” Mayor Fazlić said.
Among other things, he presented the tourist potential of the City of Bihać through the prism of strengthening of the National Park and in this connection also emphasized the necessity of finding a partner for the construction of the airport in Bihać as a springboard for the development of tourism in Bihać and USC.
Ambassador Bo stressed that PR China was interested in establishing cooperation with the City of Bihać and other cities in the USC through the establishment of economic cooperation in the field of organic food production, wood processing and tourism.
“Visas for citizens of China and BiH were lifted last year and this agreement will soon come into force, which means the arrival of a large number of citizens of PR China in BiH and consequently in the City of Bihać and the area of the National Park Una. I am grateful for the warm welcome and I am convinced that through the establishment of cooperation between the City of Bihać and the cities of China, we will improve our relations to mutual satisfaction,” Ambassador Bo emphasized during the reception.
As part of today's visit of the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to BiH, the heads of the Center for Promotion and Development of the "Road and Belt" Initiative and NP Una, Faruk Borić and Amarildo Mulić, signed a Memorandum of Understanding and Business-Technical Cooperation, Mr. Fazlić's Cabinet stated.
