BIHAĆ, March 27 (FENA) - Prime Minister of the Una-Sana Canton Husein Rošić, together with FBiH Minister of Agriculture, Water Management and Forestry Šemsudin Dedić, held today in Bihać a meeting with the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Chen Bo.
The main topic of the discussion was the possibility of involving the cantons in the Chinese initiative “Belt and Road” within which China is developing economic cooperation with other countries.
“The Chinese economy has experienced a strong expansion and the interest of Chinese businessmen for our country has been steadily increasing. Tomorrow we will visit together the Bira factory for which the Chinese side has expressed interest. The Una-Sana Canton, due to the proximity to the European Union, that is, China's largest foreign trade partner has a great opportunity to attract Chinese investments," said Prime Minister Rošić, adding that the USC Government is available to all potential investors.
Ambassador Bo presented several specific areas of interest to PR China when it comes to the Una-Sana Canton. As she pointed out, there are potentials in industry and tourism, with particular emphasis on agriculture and forestry perspectives.
The Ambassador invited Prime Minister Rošić to participate in this year's gathering in Bulgaria of the governors of provinces and cantons.
