SARAJEVO, March 29 (FENA) - The FBiH Government today adopted a program of expenditure of current transfers "Subsidies to public enterprises - FBiH Railways" determined under the FBiH budget for 2018, to the FBiH Ministry of Transport and Communications, stated the Public Relations Office of the FBiH Government.
The purpose of the program is the implementation of the Law on financing of railway infrastructure and co-financing of passenger and combined transport under which the FBiH finances the railway infrastructure maintenance, co-finances the railway passenger and combined transport and co-finances the work of Bosnia and Herzegovina’s Railways Public Corporation Sarajevo under the Agreement between the Federation of BiH and RS on establishment of the joint railway public corporation as part of the transport corporation.
The FBiH government will allocate 22,000,000 KM in total, to the FBiH Railways, Sarajevo for financing the maintenance of the railway infrastructure, 19.3 million KM, for co-financing of passenger transport the amount of 2.000.000 KM, for co-financing of combined transport 100.000 KM and for the participation of FBiH in the financing of the BiH Railways Public Corporation 600.000 KM.
Today, the FiH Government also adopted the Capital Expenditure Program, on the basis of which 2.300.000 KM was approved for the electrification of the Una River regional railway, Bihać - Blatina section. The purpose of this program is to improve railway transport and to implement the decision of the House of Representatives of the FBiH Parliament.
