ZENICA, April 3 (FENA) - The miners of the Stranjani pit, who work within the Zenica Coal Mine, at the end of their first shift refused to come out of the pit facility.
At the moment, the negotiations are being conducted at the management facility by the representatives of the Coal Mine Management Board and the trade union of that facility.
No person has officially been informed about the specific reasons why miners have refused to come out of the pit and what their demands are, but the unofficial information is that the basic problem is the shortage of workers at the Stranjani facility because some workers have been temporarily moved to the other two pits - the Raspotočje and Stara jama, as well as the application of a new rulebook which allegedly reduces miners’ wages.
The media representatives are forbidden to enter the premises of the Stranjani pit, and the Zenica Coal Mine Management Board has not yet stated the reasons for the interruption in production and the demands of the miners.
