Crnadak meets with Croatian Deputy Prime Minister Marija Pejčinović Burić

SARAJEVO, April 4 (FENA) - Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina Igor Crnadak met today with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of the Republic of Croatia Marija Pejčinović Burić.

The topic of the two ministers' meeting was, first and foremost, the bilateral relations between BiH and Croatia, with a special emphasis on economic cooperation. Minister Crnadak stressed that Croatia was one of the most important foreign trade partners of BiH and expressed the expectation that intensive cooperation in this field would continue in the future.

Minister Crnadak and Minister Pejčinović Burić also talked about the process of European integration of BiH.

The Croatian Minister of Foreign Affairs reiterated Croatia's support for BiH’s European path and said that Croatia would take over the presidency of the European Union Council in the first half of 2020 and that it would support the BiH’s European integration process as the presiding country.

Ministers emphasized the importance of regional cooperation within the framework of the Berlin Process, the SEECP Process, the Central European Initiative (CEI), which Croatia is currently chairing, as well as within other regional initiatives, the BiH MFA PR Office said.
