Training for the lawyers of the Institution of Human Rights Ombudsman of BiH

BANJA LUKA, April 23 (FENA) - The Institution of Human Rights Ombudsman of Bosnia and Herzegovina, with the support of the Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria, is organizing a training program on the implementation of the mandate of the National Preventive Mechanism in Bosnia and Herzegovina, to be held in the period from 24 to 27 April 2018 in Banja Luka.

The realization of this training is planned within the Project on strengthening the capacity of the Institution of Human Rights Ombudsman of Bosnia and Herzegovina for implementation of the mandate of the National Preventive Mechanism in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the target group consists of lawyers employed in this Institution. Trainers are the experts in the National Preventive Mechanism of the Bulgarian Ombudsman.

Planned activities, in addition to the theoretical part, include visits to the institutions where the persons deprived of their freedom of movement are located, as well as a meeting of the ombudsman Prof. Dr. Ljubinka Mitrović with Bulgarian experts at the headquarters of the Ombudsman for Human Rights of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Banja Luka.

Ombudsman of Bosnia and Herzegovina Prof. Dr. Ljubinko Mitrović and H.E. Ms. Avgustina Tzvetkova-Karabascheva, Ambassador of the Republic of Bulgaria to Bosnia and Herzegovina will address the training participants.
