Defense Minister Pendeš meets with French Ambassador Rousson

SARAJEVO, April 24 (FENA) - Defense Minister of Bosnia and Herzegovina Marina Pendeš and her associates received today Guillaume Rousson, Ambassador of the Republic of France to BiH, and discussed the ongoing issues in the Ministry of Defense and the Armed Forces of BiH.

The two sides talked about the progress achieved in meeting the conditions for activation of the NATO Membership Action Plan (MAP).

Pendeš presented to Ambassador Rousson the overview of the latest activities implemented within the process of registering the prospective military property.

She expressed expectation that the next ministerial meeting of the NATO member states would also be used as an opportunity to send an encouraging signal to Bosnia and Herzegovina regarding the activation of the first annual national program and the practical application of MAP.

Ambassador Rousson expressed the commitment and support of the Government of the Republic of France for the continuation of reforms in Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as support for BiH’s accession to the EU and NATO Alliance.
