Čović meets Japanese Ambassador Sakamoto in an inaugural visit

SARAJEVO, April 26 (FENA) - Croat member of the BiH Presidency Dragan Čović received in an inaugural visit the Japanese Ambassador to BiH Hideyuki Sakamoto.

At the beginning of the meeting, Mr. Čović welcomed Ambassador Sakamoto and said he hoped that the traditionally good relations of the two countries will be deepened and improved in his mandate, the BiH Presidency stated.

He also thanked Ambassador Sakamoto for the Japanese assistance to Bosnia and Herzegovina, and emphasized that Japan's assistance projects had helped to a great extent during the war, and that BiH recovers from the consequences of the war.

He emphasized the fact of the economic development of BiH and they agreed that the investment of Japan in BiH would mean a great deal to the citizens of BiH.

They also discussed tourism, so Ambassador Sakamoto said that the Japanese people traditionally liked to travel, and that more work should be done on the tourism promotion of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Japan, which, in his view, has great potential, he said.
