Izetbegović: We expect the judiciary institutions to resist pressure

FENA Press release

SARAJEVO, April 27 (FENA) - We are fully committed to prosecuting all war crimes, but we expect the judicial institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina to resist pressure from different politics aimed at creating an artificial ethnic balance in the number and scope of war crimes committed, trying to alter historical facts and thus the character of the war in Bosnia and Herzegovina,” said Bakir Izetbegović, Chairman of the BiH Presidency.

He stated that the arrest of the Commander of the Army of RBiH, General Atif Dudaković and other members of the 5th Corps of the Army of the RBiH was "unnecessary humiliation of the people who were available to the investigators during many years of investigation and responded to all their inquiries on a regular basis".

“Respecting the presumption of innocence, we believe that General Dudaković and the members of the 5th Corps will, in fair and just court proceedings, dismiss all accusations put forth against them,” stated the Izetbegović’s office and the Public Relations Office of the Presidency of BiH.
