Minister Osmanović in an official visit to City of Izmir

SARAJEVO, May 6 (FENA) - Minister of Civil Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina Adil Osmanović is in an official visit to the City of Izmir in Turkey where he held a meeting with the Mayor of Izmir Aziz Kacaoglu.

The Mayor was particularly interested in the current situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the possibilities for cooperation, especially in the fields of culture and sports.

Minister Osmanović also visited the municipality of Bornova in Izmir, and together with the municipal mayor Atila Olgul officially opened a new park, named after the first President of the Presidency of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Alija Izetbegović.

Osmanović held a number of meetings with Turkish business people, as well as those who have their origin in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The meetings were coordinated and organized by the honorary consul of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Izmir, Kemal Baysak.

At the opening of the memorial park, Minister Osmanović emphasized the importance of Alija Izetbegović as a statesman and an intellectual whose written word is respected all over the world.
