SARAJEVO, May 7 (FENA) - The Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Bosnia and Herzegovina Mahmoud Heidari reminded the Mayor of Zenica Fuad Kasumović that Iran was one of the first states to recognize the independence of Bosnia and Herzegovina and that in the most difficult moments it provided every kind of assistance to the people in BiH.
During the meeting, the collocutors discussed the intensification of cooperation in all areas, with a special focus on cooperation in the field of economy.
An initiative was proposed to fraternize the City of Zenica with some of the important cities in the Islamic Republic of Iran, which would greatly facilitate the linking of businessmen of the two countries.
Also, they exchanged opinions regarding the way of development of economic and cultural relations between the City of Zenica and the Iranian cities.
“We discussed the future cooperation in all areas and attracting potential investors. We also discussed the possibility of constructing a square in Zenica that would be named after Bosnian-Iranian friendship, with the architectural expressions of these two countries,” he said.
