SARAJEVO, May 18 (FENA) - Chairman of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina Denis Zvizdic (Party of Democratic Action - SDA) referred to today’s decision of the Ministry of the Interior of the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton to stop the buses with migrants at the location of Ivan-sedlo tunnel as an attempt to block the implementation of the decisions of the state authorities.
He told reporters in Sarajevo at the beginning of session of the SDA Presidency that the decisions of the state authorities are precise and clear-cut, adding that the issue of constitutional jurisdiction in the field of migrant and asylum matters is very clearly defined and belongs to the state of BiH.
“Such illegal actions by the HNC MoI constitute an attempt to prevent the implementation of decisions by the state authorities,” said Zvizdić, pointing out that the state institutions will not back off an inch from their own decisions and that the decisions of the Council of Ministers and the Ministry of Security must be implemented.
He also noted that migrants are being transported by buses to the center in Salakovac near Mostar, which is under the jurisdiction of the state of BiH, and urged all those involved to do so in a peaceful manner, in line with the BiH Constitution and laws, saying that migrants will be taken to the designated location.
