SARAJEVO, May 25 (FENA) - The first interactive audio guide and 3D souvenir map of the Sarajevo City Hall were presented today.

The Sarajevo City Hall app is an interactive mobile app/audio guide, intended for all visitors of the most representative building from the Austro-Hungarian period and the symbol of Sarajevo.

The app, complete with a 3D cardboard souvenir map, was created and implemented by Public Enterprise "Sarajevo" d.o.o. and the Association Guardians of Tradition. The goal is to enable visitors to become familiar with all the beauty of the City Hall in a modern and contemporary way.

Director of PE "Sarajevo" d.o.o. Esad Tanović presented the activities realized in the past year that positioned the City Hall as the starting tourist point of Sarajevo and the central place for cultural and social events in Sarajevo and BiH.

He said that the Sarajevo City Hall app was of great importance for the City Hall, noting that it is a step forward in the tourist offer of the city of Sarajevo and the City Hall.

Adnan Koro, President of the Guardians of Tradition, with the presentation of the project, pointed to the advantages of the app in comparison to similar applications, especially organized group sightseeing tours. One of these advantages is that it allows complete independence during the visit.

He said that the Sarajevo City Hall app, or a mobile audio guide of the City Hall, was a modern and contemporary mobile application, adding that this is a continuation of the Guide2Sarajevo project.

According to him, the idea is to bring the history of this building in a modern and contemporary way to all generations through mobile phones.

He says that the use of the application is highly simplified and it can be downloaded from Google and Apple Store. After downloading the application, the user scans the QR code, after which he or she can access the audio content.

“There are 13 audio stories inside the app itself, which are no longer than three minutes. We focus on various points within the City Hall. The interactive element of the app allows you to use it while you walk through the City Hall,” Mr. Koro said.

The stories contain the most important historical information about a selected location within the City Hall, carefully collected and consolidated from official sources, professional and technical documentation.

The audio content is currently available in two languages - English and Bosnian. Mr. Koro announced that the Turkish language version was in preparation and that they are also planning Arabic, Italian and other world languages.

The app will be free for all visitors to the City Hall during the first two weeks.

“Anyone who comes to the City Hall will receive a gift souvenir map and free access to the audio content. After that, the application will be charged four KM and will be valid for two weeks after being installed,” Mr. Koro said.

The 3D paper souvenir map of the City Hall, in addition to the application, represents the pinnacle of technological and graphic design. This unique map provides clear, precise and easy movement within the building and, after visiting the City Hall, it can be compiled into an authentic and architecturally correct 3D model of the Sarajevo City Hall. Each visitor will have the opportunity to have a unique souvenir, a symbol of the city of Sarajevo, the City Hall.
