SARAJEVO, May 25 (FENA) - Chinese Ambassador to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Chen Bo thanked the Minister of Security of BiH Dragan Mektić for contributing to the introduction of a visa-free regime between BiH and China, and as announced, the agreement will come into force on 29 May when citizens of the two countries will be free to travel without visas between the two countries.
Mektić emphasized that this will ease the free movement of citizens of BiH and China and will certainly contribute to the increase in the number of tourists, but also facilitate the arrival of new investors.
Mektić also informed Ambassador Bo about the current situation with migrants and measures taken by BiH institutions.
He stressed that a common approach on the regional and the EU level is needed in addressing this issue.
For this purpose, the Ministry of Security and the Ministry of Human Rights and Refugees beginning next month will organize a meeting of competent ministers of the countries in the region in Sarajevo in order to try to agree on concrete actions to be taken in order to prevent and tackle illegal migration in the best possible manner, stated the BiH Ministry of Security.
