SARAJEVO/OSLO, June 3 (FENA) – Mass voter registration of citizens of BiH who live in Norway was held in premises of BiH Embassy in Oslo last night.
Volunteers of society "Stećak" helped citizens to fill out and send the necessary documentation.
Ambassador Nedim Makarević recently launched a campaign to animate BiH diaspora to participate in the upcoming elections in BiH, from touring through Norwegian cities to creating motivating video.
“I noticed that people sometimes give up due to some technical obstacles, although they have intention to vote. That is of course typical problem for elderly persons,” emphasized Ambassador Makarević.
He also reminded that BiH does not have ministry of diaspora and the current image is result of that.
“Our diaspora will be completely assimilated if it does not keep the strong bond with its homeland and taking part in elections is one way to do that,” concluded Ambassador Makarević.
