SARAJEVO, June 4 (FENA) - The Party of Democratic Action (SDA) warned today that any attempt by Serbian officials and the ruling party to link the issue of resolving the dispute between Serbia and Kosovo with the status of the Bosnia and Herzegovina’s entity of Republika Srpska, "is a complete nonsense and a dangerous way to go, as it can lead to further complication of the relations in the region."
The SDA stated that there are no constitutional or legal similarities between Kosovo and the entity of RS.
“The only similarity is that in both cases the radical chauvinist politics of Milošević's regime managed to drew into a joint criminal enterprise a part of the Serb people, resulting in genocide in BiH, attempting to forcedly expel non-Serb population in Kosovo, which eventually led to NATO strikes against Serbia,” it is said in the statement.
SDA also underlines that "any attempt by Serbian officials to bring the issue of Kosovo and the entity of RS to the same plane, essentially supporting the secession aspirations of this part of our country, is and will be considered the continuance of aggression against Bosnia and Herzegovina."
“We call on Serbia and Kosovo to resolve all outstanding issues through direct dialogue, taking into account that BiH does not have or could have anything to do with their bilateral issues,” stressed SDA.
