BiH records growth in all the key economic indicators

SARAJEVO, June 5 (FENA) - Economic growth in the first quarter of this year grew thanks to a 12.1 percent increase in commodity exports compared to the same period last year, show the data from the Information on the Macroeconomic Indicators for January - March 2018.

In the first three months of 2018, compared to the same period of 2017, there was a recorded increase in industrial production of five percent, while employment in January and February this year increased by more than 3 percent.

The Information of the Directorate for Economic Planning, which the BiH Council of Ministers reviewed and took note of it today, states that in the first three months of 2018, around 3.5 billion KM of public revenues were collected at the state level, which is eight percent more than the same the period last year.

In the aspect of public revenues, revenues collected by the Indirect Taxation Authority account for around 48 percent, and about 52 percent of total revenues are revenues from the entity tax authorities, stated the BiH Council of Ministers.
