SREBRENICA, June 18 (FENA) - Members of the Organizing Committee for marking the 23rd anniversary of the genocide against Bosniaks in the UN Security Zone of Srebrenica in July 1995, adopted today a draft of the program for this year’s marking of the anniversary.

“All the organizational activities for marking the 23rd anniversary of the genocide in Srebrenica are being realized according to the plan without any difficulties. We believe that the necessary financial plan will be rounded up and that we will not have a problem in that segment, although up to date we have not received all the answers to the inquires we sent to the embassies and a number of institutions,” said Adem Mehmedović, a spokesperson of the Organizing Committee, in a statement for FENA.

President of the subcommittee for the organization of the Peace March of 2018, Munir Habibović, said that the preparations for this year's march are being conducted according to the plans, emphasizing that 1,200 participants have registered to take part in the Peace March so far.

“We are currently working on determining the exact route. All those who want to participate in the Peace March are invited to register. On June 27, we plan to take a tour of the route, with the participation of the members of the Organizing Committee as well as the media crews. We have already received a confirmation that the US Ambassador to BiH Maureen Cormack will participate in this year's Peace March,” said Habibović.
