SARAJEVO, June 20 (FENA) - The Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to BiH, Haldun Koç received Tuesday a delegation of nine civil society organizations (Society for the Threatened Peoples, the Croat National Council, Circle 99, La Benevolencija, Merhamet, Preporod, SGV-PR, The Congress of the Bosniak Intellectuals Forum, and the Council of National Minorities in FBiH) that have signed the Joint Declaration on the State of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The representatives expressed high degree of mutual understanding and stressed the indelible significance of the values of mutual life and the renewal of a specific Bosnian-Herzegovinian culture of mutual understanding and appreciation in a multiethnic BiH society.
These values should be foundations for building lasting peace and stability in the interest of all citizens of BiH, said today the Association of Independent Intellectuals ‘Circle 99’.
The statement reads that Ambassador Koç has strongly supported this view of BiH and encouraged the persistence of all stakeholders in the society who advocate such principles of life and organization of the state and society, emphasizing the consistent position of the Republic of Turkey and the Organization of the Islamic Conference represented by Turkey in the structures of the Peace Implementation Council BiH.
“The Republic of Turkey will never give up on preserving the stability, integrity and sovereign position of BiH as a state, nor it will stop in removing obstacles that stand in the way of constructive approach and prosperity, it is said in the statement.
