BiH Prosecutor's Office files an indictment for smuggling of illegal migrants

SARAJEVO, June 22 (FENA) - The BiH Prosecutor's Office filed an indictment against Mahir Nuhić (1985, from Sarajevo, a BiH citizen) charged with transporting migrants from Sarajevo to the border with the Republic of Croatia who, on their own decision left  he Center for the acceptance and accommodation of asylum seekers in Delijaš.

The Accused is charged that on 28 November 2017, with the idea of acquiring unlawful gain, put in his taxi in downtown Sarajevo five persons of Afro-Asian origin knowing that knew were migrants who illegally entered and stayed in BiH, who arbitrarily left the Center for the Acceptance and Accommodation of Asylum Seekers in Delijaš near Trnovo, and transported them to Bihać for a fee of 200 euros.

The Accused is charged with smuggling humans in BiH and committing the criminal offense of Smuggling of Persons under Article 189 of the BiH Criminal Code.

The indictment has been forwarded to the Court of BiH-
