SARAJEVO, June 22 (FENA) - Representatives of the Football Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) today signed a Memorandum of Cooperation in Sarajevo.

The Memorandum was signed by the Secretary General of the BiH FF, Jasmin Baković, and a representative of the UNFPA for BiH, Doina Bologa.

The Memorandum defines the framework of cooperation between UNFPA and the FF of BiH on the promotion of women's football and gender equality in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and at the same time it marks the start of a campaign titled "Choice, not a coincidence", which aims to promote solidarity for greater equality and equal opportunities for all.

Baković thanked the United Nations Population Fund on the initiative for signing the Memorandum, "which fully corresponds and coincides with our statutory commitments to protect and promote all positive values, non-discrimination and equality, including gender equality, as the basis of this Memorandum."

“We in FF of BiH have agreed with our partners from the UN Population Fund that we will work together on promoting gender equality through the organization of joint public campaigns, events and promotional materials and to jointly seek funds for the implementation of activities in the field of gender equality,” Baković said.
