SARAJEVO, June 24 (FENA) - Authorities of the Republic of France granted a request of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH and judiciary of our country and extradited the accused Radomir Šušnjar a.k.a. “Lalco“, born in 1955 in Višegrad, to judiciary of BiH.
Šušnjar is accused of participation in a war crime when 57 Bosniaks from area of Višegrad were imprisoned and burnt alive in a house in Pionirska Street in Višegrad.
The accused was residing in the Republic of France, where he was located and a procedure for his extradition to BiH was launched.
Indictment against Radomir Šušnjar was raised at the end of last year, accusing him of acting against provisions of the Geneva Convention on Protection of Civilians during the war and armed conflict in BiH.
“Prosecutor’s Office of BiH would like to thank judicial institutions of the Republic of France for their assistance in locating and extraditing the suspect, as well as all police agencies that took part in the process of transport and extradition to BiH,” the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH stated.
