SREBRENICA, July 8 (FENA) - Participants of the Peace March 2018 have departed on the traditional Nezuk-Potočari march to honor the victims of the Srebrenica genocide in 1995.

Munir Habibović, President of the Peace March Subcommittee, told FENA that more than 6,000 students from BiH and Europe and from around the world have joined to pay tribute to the innocent victims.

“Weather conditions have made it difficult for us to, but I hope the rest of the march will go as planned. The participants crossed Crni Vrh site and will spend the night in the camp in Lipanj. This year for the first time, the march participants will pass through the site which the Srebrenica people passed in July 1995,” explained Habibović.

Bosnian Language Professor Meliha Herić organized a cultural program in which the children from Srebrenica participated.

Seven ultramarathon runners from Vukovar arrived in Janja where they will spend the night and then continue their journey to Potočari. Their arrival at the Potočari Memorial Center is expected on July 10 at about 1 pm.
