GDP growth in BiH in the first quarter of 2018 was two percent

SARAJEVO, July 10 (FENA) - The real GDP growth in BiH in the first quarter of this year, compared to the same quarter of 2017, was two percent.

The Statistics Agency of BiH announced that the seasonally adjusted series of data has shown that the GDP growth in the first quarter of this year was one percent compared to the previous quarter.

In the first quarter of this year, compared to the same period last year, there was significant real growth of the gross value added in wholesale and retail trade; repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles by 10 percent, and in the production and supply of electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning by 8.5 percent.

The real gross value added fell in the field of professional, scientific and technical activities by 7.1 percent, followed by other service activities by 6.3 percent.
