Collective burial of posthumous remains of 35 genocide victims today (VIDEO)

SARAJEVO, July 11 (FENA) – Collective burial of posthumous remains of 35 victims of genocide and 23rd anniversary of genocide against Bosniaks of the UN Safe Zone Srebrenica will be held at the Memorial Center in Potočari today.

Commemoration will begin at 11 o'clock, followed by flower laying ceremony for the victims of genocide.

Prayer will be delivered by the Raisu-l-ulama of the Islamic Community in BiH Husein ef. Kavazović.  

Spokesperson of the Missing Persons Institute of BiH Lejla Čengić emphasized this is the lowest number of victims at the collective burial so far and they are mostly incomplete posthumous remains.

She added reason for that is that no mass graves have been revealed lately.

So far 6.575 victims have been buried at the Memorial Center in Potočari and after today's burial the total number will be 6.610. 

Čengić reminded they are still searching for more than 1000 genocide victims in Srebrenica.
