SARAJEVO/SREBRENICA, July 11 (FENA) - President of the Organizing Committee for marking 23rd anniversary of genocide in Srebrenica Nermin Alivuković emphasized today that people of Srebrenica, who are residents in over 50 states of the world, are saying they will never stop searching for the innocent victims that were killed, never stop fighting for perpetrators to be punished but they will also walk strongly to the future, towards becoming part of the EU and NATO.

"We owe our dignity and victory to the victims. We are proud that we did not seek revenge, that we did not commit war crimes or made mass graves. People of Srebrenica are looking towards the future, but will not forget the past," emphasized Alivuković in Potočari at the commemoration for the victims of Srebrenica genocide.

He said that Srebrenica needs help in 2018 and they expect the world to finally decide "if they choose evil or good".

"We need neighbors, friends and partners. We need all those who are ready to build a future. Even though we survived genocide, we are ready to co-exist," he emphasized.

He also stressed they expect locations of mass graves to be revealed and war criminals arrested.

Burial of 35 exhumed victims marks 23rd anniversary of genocide in Srebrenica today. First collective burial at the Memorial Center in Potočari was held in 2003.
