SREBRENICA, July 11 (FENA) - Members of Association "Women in Black" from Belgrade are in Potočari to honor Srebrenica victims. They have been coming to Potočari on July 11 for the past sixteen years.
"It is very important to me that I am here. I came as a young person to show solidarity to the victims of Srebrenica genocide. What is happening in Serbia is the final stage of denial of genocide, on institutional and social level. This year research showed that 70 percent of citizens believe that Ratko Mladić had a positive role in the past," Stefan Milosavljević, young member of the "Women in Black", told FENA.
He believes that if Serbia wishes to take care of its youth, it should take responsibility and not deny the past.
Asked if he believes that citizens from Serbia will recognize genocide in Srebrenica, Milosavljević said that there is hope.
"As we can see, situation is getting worse, from denial to glorification of people who are convicted war criminals," underlined Milosavljević.
