FENA Press release

SARAJEVO, July 17 (FENA) - Minister of Defense of Bosnia and Herzegovina's Marina Pendeš and her associates today received in a farewell visit Ambassador of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to BiH Edward Ferguson and UK military envoy, Colonel Jonathan Williamson and discussed the existing cooperation between the MoD and the AF of BiH with Great Britain.

The two sides assessed that cooperation in the past period has reached a high level, whose results are visible through joint projects implemented with the help of the Government of the United Kingdom.

This is especially reflected in the project of selecting young and highly educated civil servants in the "Become an officer of the AF of BiH" program, cadets training at military academies in the UK, assistance in the work of the Center for Training and Peace Support Operations (PSOTC) and other numerous projects in the framework of bilateral military cooperation between these two countries.

Ambassador Ferguson thanked Minister Pendeš for the reception, stressing the successful cooperation with the Ministry of Defense and the Armed Forces of BiH.

He also noted the possibilities for improving cooperation, and expressed readiness for future support for BiH in achieving its strategic goals.
