SARAJEVO, July 18 (FENA) - Between 50 and 100 young people from BiH will be given an opportunity to start their own businesses in eight local communities within the Youth Entrepreneurship Fund and that way acquire and use knowledge and skills and express their priorities, needs and interests of young people, it was emphasized in Sarajevo today at a presentation of project of Youth Development Institute KULT, which secured 200 000 KM with support from the Embassy of Sweden to BiH, and the same amount will be secured by local communities for realization of businesses of young unemployed persons.

Public calls will be announced during September and October for young people from Cazin, Trebinje, Centar Sarajevo municipality, Jajce, Modriča, Novi Travnik, Stari Grad Sarajevo municipality and Teslić.

Ajka Rovčanin from the Youth Development Institute KULT assessed this is a successful model for solving the problem of youth unemployment, because it includes governmental and non-governmental sector and young entrepreneurs will be given a mentoring support during the first year of business.

Ambassador of Kingdom of Sweden to BiH Anders Hagelberg reminded that future lies on young people, and it is also necessary to develop the private sector in BiH and he added that regardless of the poor business environment there are a lot of capable young people in BiH.

"I know many examples of BiH citizens who developed their businesses in Sweden, but also there are many examples of BiH citizens who returned and developed their businesses here with great potential," he said.

According to the research of the Youth Development Institute KULT "On the path to policy towards young people of FBiH: analysis and needs of young people in the Federation of BiH", every other young person would like to start their own business, but they need financial, advisory and educational support.
