SARAJEVO, July 20 (FENA) - The Party of Democratic Action (SDA) said that the deputies of SDA, SDP, DF, SBB and Our Party in the House of Peoples of the Federation of BiH Parliament in a coordinated and united action yesterday stopped HDZ and SNSD to implement the plan to reject and dismiss the Draft Law on electoral constituencies and the number of mandates in the FBiH Parliament in the House of Peoples, previously agreed by heads of HDZ and SNSD Dragan Čović and Milorad Dodik.
In a statement to the press, SDA assessed that yesterday’s statement by the Deputy Chair of the House of Peoples of FBiH Parliament Drago Puzigaća (SNSD), that the Draft law on electoral constituencies and the number of mandates is a question of vital national interest was not supported by the Serb caucus in the Parliament and they stressed that he submitted such a motion without their consent.
“Given the lack of quorum, an extraordinary session that was scheduled was not even held, nor was its agenda determined, therefore, Puzigaća’s statement has remained without any legal effect,” it is said in the statement.
SDA welcomed and supported the request of the Serb caucus in the FBiH Parliament for the resignation of Drago Puzigaća.
SDA deputies shall, at the regular session of the House of Peoples of the FBiH Parliament, scheduled for 26 July, vote for Puzigaća’s dismissal and appointment of a new Deputy Chair of the House of Peoples of the FBiH Parliament.
