SARAJEVO, July 26 (FENA) - Members of the caucuses of the Alliance of Independent Social Democrats (SNSD) and the Democratic People's Alliance (DNS) in the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina have submitted a motion for a vote on the need for the personnel change in the BiH Council of Ministers, that is, the dismissal of Security Minister Dragan Mektić “due to his role in the migrant crisis.”

The explanation of these two caucuses states that “since the beginning of 2018, BiH has been facing a serious migrant crisis, which is becoming a growing threat to political stability with each new day.”

They also noted that the Ministry of Security is responsible for the escalation of this problem, and in particular Minister Dragan Mektić, who, as they said, “on several occasions ignored, minimized, and even ridiculed serious warnings from the institutions.”

“There are very thorough information that individuals from the BiH institutions, especially the Ministry of Security, in cooperation with international humanitarian organizations, have been involved in producing migrant crisis in BiH in order to obtain material gain through the use of EU funds and donor funds intended for housing, and healthcare of migrants,” stated the SNSD and DNS.
